Mel Hart

Mel Hart is an established dance artist from Scarborough, Ontario. With a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree specializing in Dance from York University, Melissa co-founded SaMel Tanz with Samantha Schleese and produced works for the Toronto Fringe Festival, Breakin’ Convention, Next Stage Festival, Dance Made in Canada/ Fait du Canada Festival and Summerworks.

She is a member of Hip Hop dance crew DEUCEnDIP, who established themselves on MuchMusic’s NML Dance Battlez and performed on stages for Manifesto, WE DAY, Canada’s Walk of Fame and World Pride.

Mel has danced for international artists such as Jason Derulo, Sean Paul and the legendary Black Thought of the Roots and opened for Latin artists such as Bad Bunny, Prince Royce, and Gente de Zona.

Mel takes the most pride in being an educator, focusing on inspiring and sharing with others the art of dance and self-expression in a safe environment.
