WHAT IS BLACK OPS RECON?
Run The Flex is thrilled to introduce our first-ever Int/Adv Performance Team for the 2026-2027 season.
Black Ops Recon is designed for strong dancers looking to improve their performance quality, artistry, and shine on stage. We're looking for dancers who are ready to represent Run The Flex on and off-stage. Black Ops Recon dancers will train for off-site performances and highlight their talent and growth at RTF's annual showcase.
Our goal is to help experienced dancers become artists who leave their mark on every stage they touch. Most importantly, we're looking for dancers who are committed, coachable, and excited to learn.
2026-2027 AUDITION: Thursday, September 10, 2026 | 8 PM - 9:30 PM
Please note that the core of this team has already been pre-selected, and we are opening up just a handful of remaining spots through this audition process for Int/adv level dancers.
Before registering, please review the Audition Information & FAQs document, which outlines everything you need to know about the audition process, training schedule, program expectations, and what to expect throughout the season.
WHAT IS BLACK OPS ACADEMY?
Black Ops Academy is our signature 9-month Hip Hop training program designed for dancers who want to build a strong technical foundation while developing their artistry, musicality, freestyle, performance, and understanding of Hip Hop culture.
With training groups for every level—from beginner to advanced—all dancers are welcome! We're looking for individuals who are committed, coachable, and excited to learn. Academy members train weekly in an environment that emphasizes education, consistency, and growth while becoming part of a community that values accountability, creativity, and a deep respect for Hip Hop.
For the first six months, the focus is entirely on training. Through weekly classes, foundational drills, freestyle, musicality, and cultural education, dancers are immersed in Hip Hop—learning not just how to move, but where the movement comes from and why it matters. Throughout the season, dancers also have opportunities to engage with the wider Hip Hop community through workshops, jams, special events, and guest artists. Checkout our community on IG!
In the final months of the season, all of that training comes together as dancers collaborate to create and perform in the RTF signature year-end production — a celebration of their growth, artistry, and the incredible community they've built together.
HOW CAN I JOIN?
Joining Black Ops Academy begins with our Academy Assessment. This assessment isn't about finding the "best" dancers—it's an opportunity for our leadership team to get to know you, evaluate your current skills, and determine whether Black Ops Academy is the right fit for your current stage of development.
Following the assessment, dancers may be offered placement in one of our Academy training groups. Our goal is to ensure every dancer is placed in an environment where they can thrive, be challenged, and continue growing with confidence!
2026-2027 ASSESSMENT: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 | 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM
All levels are welcome! We're looking for dancers who are committed, coachable, and excited to learn.
Before registering, please review the Assessment Information & FAQs document for important details about the assessment process and training details.
